Our Story Blessed Hope Nepal (BHN) was established in 2013. BHN is owned by three ethnic Tibetan women from the mountains of Eastern Nepal. We are the first and only business owned and operated by women among our people group. We are uneducated but with the help of many of our friends, we were able to start and grow this wonderful business which has provided amazing opportunities for us as well as many women in our community. We taught ourselves and our artisans the beautiful and intricate art of bead crochet and this skill has been the foundation of our business. Over the years our skills have deepened and we love coming up with new designs together and challenging ourselves to never stop creating. It is our hearts desire to provide good, wholesome, creative work, skills development training and true hope to the women of the Himalayas. We seek to enhance and enrich the lives of the artisans that we work with, who are from villages throughout the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. Many of our artisans do not have the education needed to find good jobs in Nepal and they are incredibly thankful for the work they have at BHN. Our artisans come from all different walks of life. Their ages range from 18-50, some are single and others married, some have children and others none. Levels of formal education also vary widely. Most of our artisans have never been to school, a few have attended through grade school, a handful have graduated from high school and a few of our artisans are working to put themselves through college. Living arrangements also vary; from corrugated metal one-room buildings with dirt floors and an outdoor kitchen to a two-bedroom apartment. Some of our women live without the conveniences of indoor plumbing or running water. The energy that is required to do daily household chores—cooking, cleaning, laundry, caring for children—takes exponentially more time in Nepal and it is because of these unique needs of our women artisans that we have structured our business model so that they are able to make their jewelry at home throughout the week. We all meet together every Tuesday at our office; and the rest of the week, our artisans work from home. Each week, we collect and check the previous week's work and give new orders for the coming week. We also have time to drink tea together and spend time doing what all women around the world enjoy ---- talking and catching up on each other's lives. We truly are a family and we love that part about what we do. In addition to caring well for our own artisans we also seek to impact and invest in the community around us. We have a strong desire to help the elderly people in our community, especially those without a spouse or children to care for them. We believe that as we are

blessed it is our privilege to bless others. We have a big vision for the future and we thank you for each and every one of your purposeful purchases that allow us to impact more and more lives here in Nepal.

Details about our Products All of our jewelry is hand crocheted bead by bead and requires much detail, time and skill to create. Our

Sisterhood Necklaces are inspired by our artisans and their beautiful culture. They are each

named after one of our artisans and use bead colors and stones such as turquoise, amber and coral, that are common to Himalayan people. We've tried to combine Western and Himalayan styles into these beautiful necklaces. Our Sonam, Chijeek, Lhakpa and Joma necklaces are 40" in length and our Ama, Renin, Sijok and Sangjung necklace are 70" in length allowing them to be wrapped and layered in many different ways. Our

Solid and Patterned Bracelets are crocheted to be approximately 7 inches long and ROLL on

with ease. Our bracelets are very strong and so don't be afraid of breaking them as you are rolling them on your wrist. One size fits most but if you find you need a larger size we can offer 8-inch-long bracelets. Our

"Littles" bracelets are made for children under 10 years of age. They are also hand crocheted

bead by bead and each bracelet measures approximately 6 inches and roll on with ease. Please keep in mind that they are not recommended for children under 4 years of age because they contain small beads.

Classic Necklaces are available in three lengths. Our 30-inch necklace falls right around midchest, our 40-inch necklace falls above your waistline and our 50-inch necklace falls below the Our

waistline or can be doubled to look like two shorter layered necklaces. The 50-inch necklace can also be knotted like a scarf for a different look. Our

Braided Necklace is the most intricate piece we’ve created. It is made of three separately

crocheted strands of beads, then braided into one elegant necklace and joined together with a silver or gold rhinestone clasp. It is a perfect addition to our

Wedding Bells Series. It measures 22

inches in length. We are very confident in the products that we create and we want to offer you the best quality bead crocheted jewelry that is available today. Because of that, we have a 100% guarantee on our products. If your jewelry breaks or has a manufacturing defect we will gladly replace your item for you free of charge.

These necklaces are 40" long. Stunning, handmade statement necklaces with a beautiful story!

These necklaces are 70" long and are perfect for styling in many different ways. The Ama, Renin and Sijok Necklaces are worn like a scarf draped around the neck. Unique and beautiful, and a great addition to your jewelry collection.

Pangdens are colorful, woven aprons worn by women throughout the Himalayas, including our artisans. They are beautiful, intricate and represent the cultures of the people in the remotest parts of Nepal and Tibet. They differ in colors and design from people group to people group. Although the pangden serves many practical purposes it also usually indicates that a woman is married. The pangdens we see each day in our community and on our artisans were the inspiration for these beautiful patterns in our Pangden Series.
