he Senior Girls basketball team from Rothwell-Osnabruck school in Ingleside has had yet another successful season, but the best is yet to come as they prepare to host the 2014 Greater Cornwall & Areas Community Sports Newspaper - Design OFSAA Girls’ “A” championship. - Printing The tournament, which will feature 16 teams, will take place November 20- Binding 22, 2014.

“The girls played very well,” says Thompson. In their first game they defeated Nicholas Gatineau 39-34, then they played Nicholas, from Belleville and won 39-34. “In the third game they beat Thousand Islands Secondary School (TISS) from Brockville 39-34.”

The fourth game was, according to Thompson, a real defensive battle, against Hammarskojld (Thunder Bay) and after regulation the score was tied at 20-20. The Lancers turned it on in overtime however, winning 33-20. Continued on page 6
