I feel that my whole body of work throughout the school year has progressed in all aspects. Through my work, I have tried to portray the dark side of things by using dark colors. The main medium I tried to stick with was drawing pencils. For drawing the dark side of things, pencil drawings seemed appropriate. They help capture the seriousness of what I am trying to say. Throughout the whole year, my work has progressed dramatically. Towards the beginning of the year, I would have to say my work was “iffy on whether it was good or not. As time elapsed, I could see positive change in the work especially in my last studios. I think they are my best work. My themes at the end were hard ships in sports, focusing on the UFC. I used pencil to create the drawing as well as shading and I put a splash of red in there as blood to represent the hard ships and what is being faced in the octagon. On my last piece, I put a quote from Rocky to show motivation and why these people do what they do.
