3.2 LOGO LOGO DEVELOPMENT:

After analyzing the current Garnet & Gold logo as well as its competitor’s logo, I realized that the simplicity of the competitor’s logo is what makes their logo timeless. The current Garnet & Gold logo is too busy and outdated. After various sketches, I decided to keep the logo as simple as possible while still highlighting the connection to Florida State University. The ideas behind sketch number 4 and number 9 is incorporating the spear to the initials of Garnet & Gold, which led to morphing the spear into the G’s.

LOGO DESIGN:

Simplicity is a key factor in the redesign for the Garnet & Gold logo. Finding a way to incorporate Florida State University elements into the new logo is important. Since Garnet & Gold is a collegiate retail store, it is highly important the logo is versatile and can be used in various mediums as well as various sizes. The logo can be incorporated into the merchandise sold at the store. Keeping it simple allows for the logo to be used within various images and can easily be embroidered into shirts, hats, and other merchandise.

3.2 LOGO LOGO DESIGN:

Sizing is very important when it comes to the Garnet & Gold logo. The minimum size will be just smaller than an inch. You must be able to see the spearheads that are found as part of the “G’s.” Not proportionately sizing the logo and changing the color scheme of the color are considered unacceptable usage of the logo. If you do not size the logo proportionately the customers will not be able to appreciate the logo. If you change the color scheme for the logo, it may remove
