We moved into 46 Arminers Close from The Midlands 15 years ago. We have improved the house with extended double glazing, a refurbished bathroom, a fitted kitchen/diner, a brick conservatory and utility room and most recently, a new central heating boiler and redecoration throughout. Our teenage daughters were able to walk or cycle to St. Vincent College, to study for their 'A' levels and were both married in, St. Mary's, Alverstoke, the Parish Church. There was also plenty of room for our son, when he came home from University. My husband found the commute to work in Portsmouth via The Gosport Ferry very easy. As a supply teacher, I find proximity to the M27 increases my job opportunities. There is plenty of parking but no passing traffic and grassed areas. If we need the car outside the house, then we just drive up to it. There are local shops, pubs and restaurants and 'allegedly' the best fish and ship shop in the area. Being close to Stokes Bay is a
joy. So why are we leaving? Well, our children have left so we are downsizing, but we will miss our corner of this little estate, as we have lovely neighbours and it has a 'villagey' feeling all of its own. We hope that whoever buys this house will be as happy here as we have been.
