On Jan. 5 at approximately 8 p.m., Saanich police were dispatched to Culduthel Road, where they located an intoxicated male collapsed on the ground. This male was going in and out of consciousness and hospital staff determined that the male had suffered a skull fracture and brain bleeding.

Police later learned that on the day in question, this male traveled from Sidney to Uptown Centre via bus, and later made his way to Culduthel Road where he was located.
