Cecil G. Morrison

January 6, 1956 - January 28, 2015 Cec passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Kathryn after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his sister, Linda; mother, Fern Gorrell; father, Cliff Morrison and stepmother, Dorothy. Cec’s career spanned many years and millions of miles on the open road. He was proud of the time he spent driving a bus for Greyhound and BC Transit in Victoria. His real joy came when he started working at Totran Transportation of Calgary travelling down the highway doing over-size heavy haul. He met some wonderful people at Totran and on the road and he was over the moon when his wife  Kat joined him for some of the trips. (someone to keep his truck organized and clean!). Cec had a love of model trains and his neighbours in Cobble Hill were entertained by the model railway he spent many hours building around his yard. He was a great cook who loved to entertain. Everyone will miss his great sense of humour. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Kathryn; step-sons, Colin O’Connor of Calgary; Cass O’Connor of Duncan; father-in-law, Bill Dunham of Parksville; Blair and Carol Polden of Victoria; nephew, Justin Smith of Halifax, nieces, Cheryl and Tammy of Thunder Bay; cousin, Carol (Brian) Wilford; good friends, LindyLee (Brooks) Matthews-Randle, and many other very good friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Cec’s Life will be held at a later date.Â
