Hop aboard the interurban tram history bus trip The Richmond Museum is organizing an Interurban Tram History Bus Trip this Saturday (Aug. 24) from 1 to 4:45 p.m. The tour, which will be held in conjunction with the museum exhibit “On the Move: Richmond’s Transportation Legacy,” begins at Richmond Cultural Centre, where the bus will head to Richmond’s new interurban tram building in Steveston. Participants will learn about the history of the No. 1220 British Columbia Electric Railway interurban car. Then the bus heads to Cloverdale to view and ride on the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society’s interurban car No. 1225. Riders will take a round trip from Cloverdale to Sullivan Station. The bus trip then returns to Richmond, concluding where it started. This trip back in history is fun for all ages.
