Marie Ange Fontaine 1920 - 2013

Obituaries

Marie-Ange Fontaine passed away peacefully on April 22, 2013 in Vernon, BC at the age of 92. She was born August 9, 1920 in Beaumont, Alberta. She married her husband Andre on November 6, 1945 and they moved to Armstrong in 1972, spending the rest of their lives in the area. She is predeceased by her loving husband Andre Fontaine of 47 years and her grandson Mark Ostopchuk. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters: Madeleine (Carl) Ostopchuk of Campbell River, BC, Cecile (Dan) Richter of Gravelbourg, SK, Bernadette (Alvin) Yager of Westlock, AB, Louise (Roger) Savoie of Vernon, BC, Rita (Laurie) Lukens of Armstrong, BC, Simone (George) Liefke of Armstrong, BC; sons: Maurice (Lynda) Fontaine of Blue Ridge, AB, Roland (Joanne) Fontaine of Edmonton, AB; sisters: Yvonne Cameron of Sherwood Park, AB, Florence List of Edmonton, AB; 22 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends. A funeral service will be held for Marie-Ange on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00pm at St. Joseph’s church (3335 Patterson Street, Armstrong). Those wishing to do so may make a memorial donation in honour of Marie to the North Okanagan Hospice Society (3506 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC V1T 1S4).
