Buying or selling a house or landed property calls for a real estate agreement which is a contract that binds both the buyer and the seller with specific terms and conditions for the transaction. It is a necessary aspect of any property sale to make sure that the deal is executed according to the law and that none of the parties suffer from any losses or gets undue benefits from the sale and purchase process. A lot of paperwork is needed in making a real estate agreement. There are different types of contract forms that cater to specific purposes and requirements related to the real estate transactions. Agreement types In its most basic sense, a real estate agreement is a promise that the seller will hand over to the buyer the rights to ownership to a particular property in exchange for a specified sum of money. If any of the parties who sign the agreement fails to perform what is specified in the agreement, it is considered as a breach of contract and the person who suffers from this breach can approach the court for necessary actions. This is basically a real estate sale and purchase agreement between the seller and buyer of the property. There is yet another type of agreement that is made between a builder and customer for whom the builder is constructing a house or any other type of building. This is to ensure the proper construction of the house according to the terms and rates specified in the contract. A typical agreement will include the following pieces of information which are deemed necessary for the proper execution of a deal: - Names of the seller and buyer - Property description - Down payment amount - The date on which the purchase will be final - Costs applicable to the property - Additional items included in the property - Damages to be paid to both parties in case of breach of contract - Mortgage details - Time to inspect the property - Time for attorneys of the parties to review the contract There could be more items to be added in the agreement depending upon the nature of the transaction. Real estate forms

Usually, the agreements are made on specific forms meant for this purpose. They are legal forms that use legal language and jargon which can be quite confusing for the average man. That is why it is important to have a lawyer review the forms for you and help you in filling in the forms. These forms are available from real estate agents or you may download them from recognized websites. However, you must make sure that the forms are legally approved.
