Wisconsin Rapids “2nd Annual” CROP Hunger Walk “Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty”

Registration at 1:00 Walk begins at 1:30

“Come early to enjoy a bowl of homemade soup, walk the Hunger Labyrinth and visit the Emergency Food Panty between the hours of 12:00 to 1:15 PM. Join the movement to end hunger. Help us raise awareness and money to fight poverty in our community and around the world. 25% of money raised will be donated to the South Wood County Emergency Pantry Shelf and The Neighborhood Table. Last Year 140 CROP walkers helped to raise $7,268.19 with $1,817.04 of those funds remaining in our area to help fight hunger. Make a difference in your community. Wisconsin Rapids CROP Walk will donate a portion of proceeds to the South Wood County Emergency Pantry Shelf (SWEPS) and The Neighborhood Table. ✔ SWEPS fulfilled 1,399 requests for a total of 4,013 people in 2009.

✔ SWEPS fulfilled 1,564 requests serving a total of 4.596 people in 2010.

✔ “The Neighborhood Table” serves approximately 350 meals per night.
