Goal My professional goal is to get a job where I can use my education and experience in marketing economy and international trade. Preferably within a company where there is ambition and high standards and were I can be a part of building up success and drive the company forward.

Personal description I am a chef and international sales and marketing manager by education and by working experience. I try to live a healthy life style. I have several interests and they are cooking, hunting and various outdoors sports like skiing, running and physical training. I have pretty extensive working experience. This experience has developed me and taught me a lot and prepared me well for life. I have excellent knowledge of Icelandic society; have traveled throughout the country and to many other countries. Through my job I got the pleasure to get to know many interesting people and I do possess a good network of which I consider of great value. My family is tightly knit and likes to go camping, out for a walk and enjoy nature as much as we can.

Professional experience 2012-2013

Corporate Business Manager at “Noi Sirius ehf”

I was responsible for sales and marketing towards Corporate Businesses. Noi Sirius is market leader in the Icelandic confectionary segment in Iceland with around 60% market share.

2009 - 2010

International Sales and Marketing Manager at Rational AG

I was responsible for sales and marketing in Scandinavia together with the Baltic States. I do have a good review, despite a short time but the job simply did not suit at the same time as I was doing my education.

2002 – 2008

Sales representative

Worked as a kitchen equipment salesman at Bakoísberg ehf. Iceland. My job involved consulting and giving advice in equipment usage and treatment. Part of my job was to draw up (in 3D) kitchen plans that were consistent with Icelandic health and safety procedures. Then gaining new business relationships, maintaining those existing where a large part of my daily routine together with ordering and maintaining good connection with foreign suppliers. 1999 – 2002

Sales representative

Sales and Marketing for sports wholesale called Inn-Sport ehf. (later Primo ehf). Selling signs like AND 1, Errea, New Balance and Halti. We were selling energy drink called Leppin which were at this time the most sold energy drink in the market.

Chef at Radisson SAS Reykjavik

Responsible for a Buffet Restaurant at the hotel.

1996 – 1998

Head Chef

Head Chef at Restaurant Skovly, just outside of Copenhagen. We were serving up to 700 people per day, both doing buffet and a la carte. 1992 – 1996

Working at Radisson SAS Reykjavik firs as a chef trainee and then as a chef.

Working career

Coming from a small Icelandic village meant that I started very early to work beginning to work in the local herring factory, and then later in the boat building factory. I have worked on small boats, fishing both with my grandfather and later on a industrial fishing boat.
