The Town of Essex (Essex.ca) has appointed Nelson Silveira as its new Economic Development Officer. Silveira is now responsible for the development and implementation of the Town’s economic development programs and initiatives for business attraction, retention, promotion, marketing and expansion. Previously an Economic Development Officer with the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine, in B.C., he is “very excited to have this opportunity to help implement current initiatives and guide future plans for growth and development in the Town of Essex.”
