While the desserts and decor were a big hit, the surprise performance by an African dance group really left guests speechless! The dance troupe performed a vibrant and upbeat piece that was followed by a piece that included crowd participation. And to top it off, Mickey Mouse even joined in on the fun and took part in the last dance number. “When I completed the walkthrough of my clients’ home and noticed that they had a dance room in their basement, I immediately began to think of ways that we could utilize this space,” Brittany Sharp of Sharp Soirées says. “The African dance troupe was definitely a crowd pleaser.” This party was a prime example of how home parties can be just as fabulous as parties at a particular venue. Utilizing various spaces in the home keeps the party from being congested. For example, the kids table and dessert display were set up in the basement, and then a more adult-friendly area was set up on the main floor. Guests were able to walk around freely amidst a space that was open and inviting. The goal is to create a setting that everyone could enjoy. That goal was definitely achieved as guests left the safari adventure with a new outlook on just how cool Mickey Mouse is.
