Fentanyl (also known as fentanil) is a potent, synthetic opioid pain medication with a rapid onset and short duration of action. Fentanyl is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine, but some fentanyl analogues, which are designed to mimic the pharmacological effects of the original drug, may be as much as 10,000 times more potent than morphine. Fentanyl is also used as a recreational drug, leading to thousands of overdose deaths from 2000 to 2017.

Fentanyl is sparking a world wide crisis and has taken the lives of thousands of users, as well as a many police officers who were trying to fight against the drug problem. It became headlines after the musician Prince died of an overdose of what was found to be Fentanyl. Until now, Law Enforcement has not had available an inexpensive, in-field test for Fentanyl. Unlike others who claim they can detect the drug by using a more general drug screening test, Our PDT tests have the ability to distinguish between Fentanyl and amphetamine or methamphetamine.

VBIED Tools VEHICLE BORNE IED TOOL KIT (VBIED) The Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) Tool Kit is a standardized tool kit that is meant for adaptation to larger robots operated by bomb squads. The VBIED Tool Kit consists of multi-purpose, dependable and reusable tools which can easily be operated and manipulated with a standard bomb disposal robotic platform. The tools address commonly encountered obstacles and allow deployment of bomb squad robots down-range to engage explosive and IED threats on vehicles while maintaining a safe stand-off distance from the threat.

VBIED Tool Kit Components

The VBIED Tool Kit is an assembly of five (5) kits, each one designed for specific VBIED Render Safe Procedures used by bomb technicians to eliminate the threat.

1. Extender Kit.

Enables access and reach to difficult locations within the interior and underside of a vehicle. Some of the extender tools incorporate a Picatinny rail to enable connection of specific task tools. The Extender Kit consists of the following items packaged in a carrying case for convenient transport: • • • • • • • • •

Enables an operator to safely view and examine the underside of a vehicle and provides space to enable robotic removal or neutralization of an IED. The development of the electric lift jack is based on a standard van vehicle jack, and includes mechanical and electrical modifications to enable swift elevation of the vehicle.

4. Power Tool Kit.

Assist in prying open doors and compartments, and cutting metal profiles and chains. The power tool can accommodate three tool heads, including: • Spreader - to pry open doors and compartments • Cutter - to cut metal chains • Round Cutter - to cut metal profiles

5. The X-Ray Tool Kit.

Allows remote X-ray examination of the vehicle, cargo, and objects of interest. The X-ray picture is presented on the operator’s robot display screen. The X-ray tool kit enables multiple X-ray shots, examination of objects placed high or in difficult to reach locations in the vehicle.

One or more Drone Killer units deployed per mobile team or convoy (lead and rear) operating in regions having uncontrolled airspace would provide an umbrella of UAS protection. In fixed locations having automated counter-UAS electronic fence systems, deploying the Drone Killer can fill in any gaps identified in the system that are affected by line of sight or physical obstructions. This type of deployment would fill gaps in protection coverage, extend spots of range, and provide pursuit and takedown capabilities beyond the immediate radius of coverage. Upon detecting unknown UAS activity, a Drone Killer unit would disable a UAS within a few seconds. The Drone Killer is easy to use and requires minimal training and practice by an operator to disable a UAS.
