INTRODUCTION Animal health care is a vital part of the task of supplying food to the world’s ever increasing population. Healthy animals produce a better quantity and quality of food. At the same time, cats & dogs are becoming integral parts of family units and require appropriate care and attention. To enable veterinarians to achieve these goals Bimeda (based in Dublin, Ireland) has supplied veterinary pharmaceuticals of consistently high quality for the past forty years. Bimeda’s success has largely been based on a customer orientated philosophy, adapting recognised therapeutic substances to local requirements. Because of this Bimeda now markets products in over sixty countries world-wide in: Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Middle East, East Asia and Australia / New Zealand. The success of Bimeda is born of its commitment to consumer requirements, and its recognition of responsibilities to both animal health and the environment.

Ecofleece EC / Tsetse Tick Dip

250 ml 1L

An emulsifiable concentrate containing in each litre 100 g of Cypermethrin High-Cis. Cypermethrin consists of eight different isomers, and these can be grouped into two groups, the cis-isomers and the trans-isomers. The cis-isomers are the more active group, being considerably more effective than the trans-isomers. Ecofleece contains high-cis Cypermethrin, which has a ratio of 80% of the more potent cis-isomers. This has twice the activity of Cypermethrin which normally only contains 40% of cis-isomers. As a synthetic, pyrethroid emulsion, Ecofleece is better tolerated than organophosphate compounds, meaning that it can, for example, be used in the treatment of mites in poultry. It is effective against most of the important ectoparasites in animal husbandry, including one-host ticks, multihost ticks, cattle mange, nuisance and biting flies, sheep scab, sheep lice and poultry mites. It also provides protection against parasitic fly larvae such as screw-worm, grubs or blow flies.

By dip or spray Dilution rates vary depending on mode of application, target parasite, geographical and climatic conditions

Ecofleece 10 % w/w Sheep Dip Concentrate

1 L, 2 L, 5 L

Tsetse Tick Pour-On

250 ml

A ready-to-use pour on product containing 1 % w/v Deltamethrin used for the control of Tsetse and other biting flies, ticks and lice on cattle. This product has substantial advantages over traditional dipping methods in tropical areas. By squeezing the plastic container an accurate dose can be put into the dispensing chamber. This obviates the need for regular dip calibration. It is particularly useful in arid zones where shortages of water can often render spraying or dipping impractical. It is environmentally friendly insofar as the problem of dip-wash, or spray disposal does not arise. It has also been proven that when used as part of a tsetse control programme, the use of Deltamethrin pour-on can substantially reduce the incidence of Trypanosomiasis in affected areas.
