consolidation as the UK’s leading independent digital agency, recently awarded agency of the year by BIMA. 2016 saw Zone expand its premises at the heart of the King’s Cross development, open offices in Cologne, complete two acquisitions, grow staff to a 250-strong global team and increase turnover to over £20 million. The film title that describes my life is… once upon a time in the west (country).
During 2016, Jonny has led Lab to further notable growth. Since the merger with Neuro Agency Ltd, Lab has significantly matured. As well as offering a full suite of digital services, Lab’s consultancy offering now includes leadership, business, marketing and branding. To support this change, Lab has been rebranded. Jonny has also been working hard to bring digital leadership and modern thinking to both the public and
private sector. He has supported BIMA, offering services to help upskill the BIMA team and supporting events such as Digital Day. Additionally, Jonny is now an advisory committee member to the Surrey University Centre for Leadership and Decision Making and the Centre for the Digital Economy. The next big thing in digital will be… systematic and mass manipulation of social media.
Since 2008, Josh Cole Bolland and his brother Ollie have grown their company, J B Cole UK, from a small photo studio in North West London to a thriving digital technology business with dedicated teams in Hertfordshire and Manchester. Clients include ITV, TfL, Body Shop, The NHS, Nokia, several SMEs and various London Guilds.
Only 26, Josh is a director of two other digital startup businesses. He mentors young business owners, organises and hosts industry networking events, runs digital startup workshops and delivers talks to apprentices and interns. My favourite saying is... If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
As VP, UX at Huge, Josh oversees the creation and evolution of ecosystems, products and interfaces for the agency’s client base. In 2016, Josh led the charge in redefining the digital product and marketing ecosystem for global energy brand Enel. Under his leadership, a new global digital vision was created, marking the beginning of a new era defined by a user-centric business approach, transparent communication, empowering functionality and

storytelling relevant to user’s everyday lives. Also in 2016, Josh was instrumental in bringing Huge School to London, the agency’s accelerated training programme for those who want to pursue a career in experience design. The first cohort joins Huge this summer. I’m where I am today because... of staying focused, staying up all night, and being able to travel anywhere on earth without being crippled by jet lag.
