Petition for Free Parking for Residents of Wasaga Beach in Lots owned by the Town We, the undersigned, request the Town Council of Wasaga Beach, Ontario to provide free parking access of lots owned by the town to Wasaga Beach,.

Get Ready To Rock Your Weekend Rock your weekend with the Georgian Triangle Music Festival (GTMF). Rock Hop Music Canada is proud to present the 2nd Annual Georgian Triangle Music Festival sponsored by beach BOOSTER Group, What's Up Hut and Mental Acts Design and Print. This event is scheduled for July 4, 5 and 6, 2014 in Wasaga Beach spearheaded by Shawn Crozier. Last year's inaugural attracted 60 acts from local artists to out of town musicians during the three day event with performances taking place at five different venues throughout our town. Shawn is planning for more venues and wants to open the door for more acts by expanding the musical palette in seeking artists from Quebec to Western Canada. You can expect to hear Rock, Hip Hop, Jazz and Rap to name a few. Amateur and indie bands are welcome to participate at this music festival. Deadline for submissions is April 30th. Shawn was a presenter and entertainer at our recent Third Annual Wasaga Beach Short Festival. He certainly showed the audience his flair to perform on stage during our brief delay with our film clips at our Gala Awards. Shawn is the owner of Rock Hop Music Canada and founder of Georgian Triangle Music Festival. His passion for music paved his way to playing guitar and singing with his friends on jam sessions. In 2004, he got an opportunity to be a lead singer in a four-piece band “Mundane Redemption” where they released a three-song demo. In 2006, Shawn launched his first single “Heal These Wounds” followed by a solo album “This Is All, From Deep Inside”. In April 2008, he received a nomination for Best Punk/Rock/Metal Video by an Unsigned Artist at Cravefest, an International Music Video Festival. Shawn also made an appearance on the A-Channel Morning Show in 2009 where he played a few tunes and discussed his album. In 2010, he joined the band, Excellerater as a bassist and backup vocals and to date continues to perform in and around town as a band member. Shawn is the mastermind behind “Rock Hop Music Canada” a musician based operation. “Our vision is to provide a safe honest, and enjoyable networking environment for musicians, venue owners and music fans”, said Shawn. In support of the music festival a fundraiser is taking place Friday, April 4th at Boston Pizza at Stonebridge Town Centre from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Anticipate performances by Paul Snider, Excellerater, Frees Tyler, L.S., The Coyote Kids and music by DJ Scotty. Tickets are $10 in advance through Ticketscean or $15 at the door. Sponsorships for the music festival are available in the following tailored levels: Platinum, Gold and Bronze. Each level is designed to conform to any size business wishing to participate. Sauble Beach Eliminates Paid Parking This forwarded by Mike Miller: Dale Robinson President, Sauble Beach Chamber of Commerce says, Welcome to Sauble Beach and free parking. There are many ways to find revenue within a municipality ... if commerce is of importance to you ... paid parking is not one of them. It will drive your tourism traffic down and businesses will suffer! Thanks to Town of South Bruce Peninsula Mayor John Close and our Councillors who stopped the insanity at our beautiful beach and eliminated paid parking effective 2014.
