From a diverse selection of independently owned restaurants and cafés offering a wide range of cuisine, to many small retail shops, Oberlin’s historic Downtown should not be missed. Experience Oberlin’s extraordinary college-town charm with a visit to the Allen Memorial Art Museum, a walk through Tappan Square or by catching a concert in Finney Chapel—all open to the public. There are a number of historical landmarks and tours available through the Oberlin Heritage Center, and many parks and recreation options, including the Northcoast Inland Bike Trail running through town. We hope you’ll explore all that Oberlin has to offer. We are honored to have you in our wonderful City. “It’s a Great Day to be in Oberlin!” Rob Hillard, Oberlin City Manager Welcome! The Oberlin Business Partnership (OBP) is a community organization comprised of partners – businesses, non-profits, the city, college, and individuals – who give their time, energy, and expertise to advance and promote the sustainable growth and prosperity of the Oberlin Community. Our vision for Oberlin is that it is a center of community and economic prosperity; an excellent location for business as well as an entertainment and learning destination; our downtown enhances the civic, cultural, and economic vitality of the entire community. We hope you will agree that we are well on our way to achieving our vision! Larry Funk, President Oberlin Business Partnership Board of Trustees

WHY SHOP LOCAL?

LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE INVESTED IN THE COMMUNITY!

Profits stay within the community—helping to support our police, fire and public services. Local businesses often purchase from other local businesses, service providers and farms. Local businesses provide jobs and typically donate more than large corporations to local non-profits. Independently-owned small businesses provide jobs within the community.

OBERLIN…a BIG-minded small town! Small town Americana is alive and well in Oberlin. Our historic downtown is unique and eclectic. It has become a central gathering place for residents and visitors. There is rich history and culture attached to our city and historic downtown. There are places to shop, unwind, dine, attend festivals, enjoy music and so much more. We hope you enjoy shopping, dining, and exploring our BIG-minded small town!

Oberlin has a diverse array of delicious and reasonably-priced food. The Feve is a favorite of both locals and visitors. Lorenzo’s Pizzeria has delicious Italian cuisine and fabulous pizzas. Try Agave Burrito Bar for amazing mix-and-match style Mexican/American cuisine. The Local and the Slow Train Café have great coffee – The Local is a New York-Style basement café and slays the latte competition. Slow Train Café has a bit more room to move (or rather not move for several hours). Find local organic produce at the Oberlin Farmers Market. May through October the market is open every Saturday in front of the Oberlin Public Library and at Eastwood School in the winter months.
