ROB PEAKE, EDTTOR

A RANGE OF WINNERS One thing I love about the Classic Boat Awards each year is how they show the vast specrrum of what a 'classic' can be. 'S7e have a clinker rowing boat, used by one woman as a ferry on an 'We east coast estuary. have an aluminium J-Class with state-of-the-art fittings and electronics, crewed by.a small battalion. In between there are amateur builds and professional jobs, all launched after months or years of graft. Each of the boats nominated for an award deserves the highest commendation. On page 38 you can find out how you voted to choose the winners. They are a sparkling bunch. And if after readingthat, you feel like having a go atwinning a restoration award yourself, take a look at page 50. A field in Suffolk is full of old classics awaiting your love and finance. It would be nice to think they will all have their moment at Classic Boat Awards ceremonies of the future. COVER PHOTO: TYLER FIELDS
