S tayInformed 2022-23 VENTURA OFFICE eNEWS December/January Volume #30 New Space! New Energy! New Excitement!
Hard to imagine the time is approaching to move to our new spaces! Two new offices are being readied for January to February occupancy!

THE TIMING SEEMS TO A NEW YEAR, NEW SPACES AND

Deadlines have shifted for occupancy given shortages of
materials, availability
of
inspections, material
cost changes and all the other things that affect building but we are well on our way to exciting quarters!

TO BE PERFECT AND NEW BUSINESS!

A few notes about the Ventura space. It is a much more open community concept with work spaces available for agents to spend as much time as they need to create business. Focus has been to create a space generating conversation and business for all. Fewer private offices, a larger training/conference room, open kitchen concept and lounge area bring the concept to realization. For those in Ventura start cleaning out desks and file cabinets since the move will be here before we know it!

With a new space it creates a new way of doing business and interacting. Although there will be fewer assigned individual work stations it is designed to be a vibrant space to meet your guests and clients.

The Beautiful Ojai space, pictured here and above, is awaiting furniture and detailed finishes before occupancy. The office will have a conference room, private offices and a large open area to check in and out to conduct business. It seems so much easier to move when you don’t have to unpack an office.

AT EVENT! It was a great pleasure seeing everyone at the Ojai office christening and Holiday Luncheon December 2nd, 2022 . The Ojai office allows us to generate an expanded footprint better serving more clients in Ventura County.

Season’s Greetings Holiday Luncheon!

My biggest accomplishment is moving to America with only my daughter, Jasleen, and starting a new life. One of the hardest and most rewarding experiences of my life so far. It allowed me to meet my husband, Dean of 10 years, and enjoy more sunshine than all of my years in the UK combined!

We have three cats, pictured here is Bambu. The other cats are Greyson and Willow.

What are some of your hobbies, special interests?

My passion is watching my daughter play and coach volleyball and I am also an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspur (UK football) and the Green Bay Packers (American football)! I love to travel and have been fortunate to visit many countries from Singapore, India, most of Europe, Mauritius, Antigua, Canada and Mexico to name a few. My ideal way to spend my free time would be engrossed in a good book, preferably in the crime and mystery genres, or driving an Aston Martin – I am a petrol head.

What do you consider some of your personal major accomplishments?

SHARAN SCHEFRIN

REGIONAL MARKETING MANAGER

I began my career in London, UK in luxury retail. My first job was working at Harrods, and if you are ever in London, you should visit it because it is so much more than a department store. I have worked with major brands such as Moschino, Nicole Farhi, Celine, LVMH and Burberry in some of the most iconic locations – Knightsbridge, Kensington, Bond St and Oxford St. I was a manager in some capacity for all these brands. My final role in England was as the manager of the worldwide flagship store for Burberry and heading the training for employees across the globe. When I moved to the US in 2009, I opened my own business in Santa Monica, until Burberry discovered I was here and asked me to help them launch their 3rd St Promenade store and then they asked me to run the Beverly Hills store, which I gladly did! Travelling to Beverly Hills from Thousand Oaks every day was not fun and so I decided to get my real estate license and work close to home. Apparently, I didn’t hide my managerial skills very well and I was asked to become a branch manager and since I had a background in luxury, I became the Luxury Collection Director also. That led me to oversee the Marketing Dept and led me to my current role as Regional Marketing Manager with BHHS California Properties.

Believe in yourself no matter what anybody else says. It’s ok to be different and more than that it will serve you well later in life. Trust your instinct, it will not steer you wrong and cherish the people close to you more. Also, stop worrying so much, it doesn’t help you. Your older self will thank you!

Education/Background?

I was born and grew up in England on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest, which is a real place! As a child, my friends and I would regularly play football (soccer) and cricket in the forest. After receiving my bachelor’s degree from the University of Buckingham I moved to London and began my career. London was very different from where I was raised and provided me with experiences I would never have gained anywhere else. I strongly recommend a visit, in the summer!

If you could go back in time and tell your 6-year-old selfimportant life information what would it be?
