GENERAL CAMPS Welcome to BGC Kawarthas Summer Camps BGC Kawarthas Summer Camp team is happy to offer programming for the Summer of 2022. Although Summer Camp 2021 was not what we had anticipated, we are excited to bring back many of our summer programs this year! With the Summer Camp 2022 season approaching we are looking forward to welcoming children and youth back, all while maintaining the health and safety of everyone. All programs will include a mix of indoor games, outdoor play, creative arts and crafts, science and technology. All Camps will have the opportunity to play on the Splash Pad throughout the week of camp. Super/Mites/Xtreme fees are: $157.50/week for members $189/week for non-members


5-6 yrs

Is your child ready to explore a new challenge? Amazing Mites campers will have the opportunity to build new friendships and create incredible memories through participating in an exciting camp filled with activities, games, sports, crafts, outdoor play, and spirit days. Amazing Mites Campers will get to use the Splash Pad daily, and will visit local parks throughout the week.


7-9 yrs

Super campers will have the opportunity to build friendships and develop new skills through a variety of programs including: sports, technology, cooking, arts, games and skill development sessions hosted by instructors. Our Super Camp participants will have weekly outings (Tuesdays & Fridays) to local parks as well as swimming at Lindsay Recreation Complex weekly. Super Camp participants will use the Club’s Splash Pad on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

10-12 yrs


Challenge yourself to a new camp experience this year with new programs! The 2022 X-Treme Camp will provide opportunities to build new friendships, learn new skills and experience unique opportunities. Campers will participate in outdoor adventure on the Club’s new Low Ropes Course, swimming at the Lindsay Recreation Centre (Tuesday & Friday afternoons) and out-trips to local parks and provincial parks throughout the summer. Leader in Training (LIT)

This summer, through the Leader in Training (L.I.T.) program, youth will have the opportunity to experience the fun of summer camp, while taking on added responsibilities to prepare them for a job. L.I.T.’s commit to assisting in summer camp for 4 weeks, where they will develop skills, gain leadership experience, participate in engaging workshops, and earn volunteer hours. SURVIVAL CAMP ($210) Ready to learn about the outdoors and how to survive in the wilderness? Our first-ever survival camp in partnership with Fleming College will provide an incredible learning experience. Campers will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of survival skills including shelter building, tracking, plants, fire and safety. You will leave this camp ready for your wilderness challenge.

SURF N’ TURF CAMP ($255) Welcome to Surf N’ Turf! This camp will combine swim activities such as water polo, underwater hockey and swimming, plus sailing on Sturgeon Lake. In addition, we will be offering a variety of turf sports such as rugby, football, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee. You want to get active? This is the one for you!

SOCCER & SWIM CAMP ($255) We are excited to launch a completely new format for our Soccer and Swim Camp for 2022. Our program will include outdoor soccer skills and games plus our new Futsal indoor soccer. An exciting new addition this year will be a one hour swim lesson each day. Campers will have the opportunity to develop ball control, shooting, passing and goaltending skills through activities and small area games. Each day campers will have the chance to learn skills and apply those skills in gamelike situations facilitated by instructors that support all skill levels.

KID FOOD NATION ($210) Kid Food Nation helps kids develop food skills through hands-on experiences related to planning, preparing, and cooking. Our program will feature cooking lessons from a variety of facilitators and access to an online hub with resources for healthy eating and meal preparation, and food and kitchen safety. Campers will also have the chance to participate in a national recipe competition that encourages kids to put their food literacy skills into practice and submit original, healthy, and nutritious recipes. for camp details

ART CAMP ($225) Art camp provides a unique opportunity to try different types of art in a fun and creative way. Campers will use their imagination and creativity while utilizing paint, fabric, sketching, collaging, and crafting skills. Campers will display their art at the week-end Art show and will take home their designs to keep. Guest instructors will support campers each day to develop their unique designs.

BASKETBALL CAMP ($210) Spend the week learning from local coaches and athletes. Practice your skills through drills, activities, small area games. Campers will develop their shooting, passing, dribbling and game strategies. The end of the week will include an outdoor tournament for all participants to showcase their skills.

DANCE CAMP ($210) Spend an exciting week learning from a variety of great dance instructors and dancers from across the Kawarthas. Campers will learn the latest moves in jazz, ballet, contemporary and hip hop. Dancers will become choreographers and performers as you prepare for an exciting recital at the end of the week! All levels of experience are welcome.

HOCKEY CAMP JULY ($300) Campers will participate in power skating sessions and hockey skills throughout an intense week of skill development. Players will improve their speed, power and edgework through a variety on ice challenges taught by Jeremy Murphy Ontario Hockey Federation’s Skills Coach. Beyond the on-ice skills campers will participate in a variety of skills sessions to expand their hockey skills to the next level.

7-12 yrs August 29 -September 2 Hockey

MUSIC CAMP ($185) Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Write lyrics? Our first-ever music camp will provide you with the opportunity to learn from artists like Warren Frank of the bands The Kents and Heaps. BGC Music Camp will provide opportunities to learn instruments, prepare and perform lyrics using our stateof-the-art recording studio. We can provide the instruments and all you need to have an incredible music experience.

GOLF CAMP ($185) Do you want to improve your game or try it for the first time? Either way this camp will fit your needs. Campers will have three half day sessions with local golf pros at Wolf Run Golf Club to develop their play from the tee to the green. Campers will have one full day on course applying the skills they have learned. All skill levels are welcome and clubs will be provided for those in need. New this year all participants will receive a 2 for 1 pass to come back and play the course. This camp is FORE you!

ADVENTURE CAMP ($210) Time to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself to new experiences. Outdoor Adventure camp will provide you with a variety of challenges and excitement including- Indoor Rock Climbing, Outdoor Low Ropes, and team building. Get ready to challenge yourself in this exciting adventure week. for camp details

DISCOVERY LAB ($210) Discovery Lab engages kids in science concepts through an interactive curriculum that connects science to real world contexts. The program focuses on handson experiments, increases understanding of scientific approaches, and creates opportunities for problem-solving, idea refinement, and interactive learning.

BASEBALL & SWIM CAMP ($255) It’s time to step to the plate and become a five-tool player. Our Baseball Camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills to playing baseball through individual, small group and team activities. This camp will include skill development, games, and daily one hour swim lessons. All levels of experience are welcome.

KID TECH NATION ($210) Kid Tech Nation teaches children digital skills, coding concepts, internet safety, computational thinking, and robotics. The program also focuses on engaging young people in technology they may not have otherwise have been exposed to in Science Technology Engineering Math (S.T.E.M.) fields. Campers will have the opportunity to learn circuitry with MAKEY MAKEY as well as Wonder and Mindstorm robots.

VOLLEYBALL & SWIM CAMP ($250) This exciting week will expose kids to beach and indoor volleyball. Campers will learn the fundamental skills of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, blocking and hitting. Campers will learn from local instructors and while attending daily one hour swim lessons through Lindsay Recreation Complex.

DIGITAL ARTS CAMP ($210) We are excited to see our Digital Arts Camp return for 2022! This camp involves the use of video, photography and computers to create a variety of cool pictures, movies and websites. If you have an interest in arts and technology this camp will provide all that you want.

HOCKEY CAMP ($300) Campers will be challenged with 10 hours of on-ice instruction plus dryland training. Our program will be broken into 2 groups (Local League & Representative level) that will provide a challenge for all levels. Professional instructors will challenge players to increase their speed, agility, edgework, puck control, shooting and overall knowledge of the game. Our Lindsay facility was designed uniquely for children and youth: Computers, Theatre, Games Room, Craft Room (sponsored by Crayola), Outdoor Splash Pad, Security doors, 3 Gymnasiums, Teaching Kitchen, Indoor Rock Climbing, Low Ropes Course, Air-Conditioned Facility, Music Studio, On-site Playground, Beach Volleyball and Basketball Court.

Our Staff Camp Staff are certified in HIGH FIVE (Principles of Healthy Child Development), CPR/First Aid and trained in Trauma Informed Approach for children in addition to intensive training and screening to ensure the highest quality program.

Our Training Program Includes: Program planning and development, program implementation, supervision, sun safety, behavioral management systems, emergency response, health and safety, communication, quality assurance and more.

This provides us the time to reach out to our waiting list to fill your spot or to adjust staffing based on ratios. Full payment is required upon registration. Refunds are subject to 15% administration fee. Discounts available for families with 3 or more children. Our Foundation also provides financial assistance to ensure that no child is turned away.
