2025 Impact Report

Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

LETTER FROM OUR CEO
During this past year, our organization experienced a significant transition when our CEO, Justin Reuter, accepted an opportunity to serve at the national level with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. His leadership helped position our organization for continued growth and impact. In October, our Board of Directors entrusted me with the responsibility of serving as the new CEO. As a Troy Club kid myself, I am deeply honored to continue building on the strong foundation that has been established. I am proud to be one of the many success stories of our organization.
Despite the leadership transition, this year has been filled with tremendous progress and meaningful accomplishments. Together with our staff, partners, and community supporters, we continued expanding opportunities for youth and families across the capital area. This year alone, we engaged more than 7,500 youth at our organization, including 1,100 daily participants in our programs, and served 192,200 hot meals to our youth and 15 community partners. Our Summer Basketball League brought together over 120 middle school students, creating a safe and positive outlet for competition and mentorship. Also, we provided college visits to institutions such as Siena University, Hudson Valley Community College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Syracuse University, Binghamton University, Pennsylvania State University, and Lincoln University, giving our teens the opportunity to see themselves on college campuses and begin planning for their futures.
The successes of 2025 demonstrate what is possible when a community comes together around its young people. As we move forward, we are committed to expanding teen programming, strengthening workforce development opportunities, continuing to meet the basic needs of families, and exploring long-term facility improvements that will ensure our Clubhouses continue to serve Albany and Rensselaer Counties for generations to come. These priorities reflect the shared vision of our staff, board members, partners, and community members who came together during our planning process.
With the continued support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, we are confident that the future of the capital area is bright, and that together, we will continue creating life-changing opportunities for the young people who depend on us every day. Great futures really do start here.
With gratitude,

Patrick Doyle

I just wanted to share how much my daughter loved her experience at the Club’s summer camp. She looked forward to coming back every single day and was always excited to tell me about everything she did. Over the summer, I saw some really positive changes in her. She seemed more confident, happy, and eager to try new things. I’m very grateful for how engaging and supportive the Club is. - 2025 Troy Summer Camp Parent

80 individuals from the community participated in structured swimming lessons, benefiting all generations and ability levels. BGCCA proves that you are never too young or too old to learn a new skill, with children as young as 13 months old participating in swim lessons alongside adults of all ages.
Aquatic programming included competitive swim team training, masters fitness swimming, artistic swimming, high school varsity preparation, youth summer camps, private swim instruction, lifeguard certification, water safety instructor training, family community swim nights, and hosted swim meets.
These programs collectively provided safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate aquatic access for children, teens, and families in the Troy community, reinforcing the Club’s mission of youth development, safety, and healthy lifestyles.
