Spring Garden Day Spring Garden Day is an annual day-long program of gardening classes for local gardeners. Our keynote speaker is Lisa Hill. Lisa m oved to the Tri-Cities in 2005 from Spokane where she owned a design and landscape business. She has a degree in Landscaping/Horticulture from Spokane Com m unity College, and was an active M aster Gardener for 15 years in Spokane and Benton/ Franklin Counties. She was also the head designer at the Spokane Country Club before m oving to this area. Currently, Lisa is a watercolor artist specializing in plants, flowers, birds and other wildlife. Lisa will discuss Hummingbirds and Backyard Birds in Your Garden. Lisa becam e interested in birding about 15 years ago after taking a short class in bird identification. Hum m ingbirds, and their antics while defending their favorite flowers, have becom e a great source of sum m er entertainm ent. From April to October, Lisa and her husband Larry watch the hum m ers com ing and going throughout their yard. Lisa will share her tips on creating a haven for hum m ingbirds so you can enjoy these fascinating little birds too. Our second keynote speaker is Alex Job, of Job’s Nursery in Pasco. A plant fanatic, as well as a nurserym an, Alex will share with you Favorite Old Plants... New Again - shrubs, perennials, and annuals that he’s excited about. A variety of other super gardening classes, presented by M aster Gardeners and local experts, will follow lunch. It will be a day full of garden fun and learning. During lunch there will be several dem onstrations for your learning enjoym ent.

Coffee, Lunch, & Snacks Coffee will be available for purchase during our m orning break and before classes. Box lunches, including a beverage will also be available for purchase. These m ay be ordered and paid for when you check in. You’re also welcom e to bring a sack lunch or dine at a local restaurant.

Pre-Registration There is a fee of $20.00 per person. Pre-registration by M arch 7 th is encouraged to insure that you have a seat. This event has sold out in the past, so register as soon as possible.
