I am more likely to volunteer again as a result of this trip I am more understanding of other cultures/people It provided new experiences I may have not have done before It made me more aware of other cultures/ways of life I experienced new outdoor activities and skills I feel more confident trying new experiences I felt my mental health benefitted from this experience I am more interested in learning about Florida I am better at adapting to changes and group scenarios It helped me grow as an individual
Talking to people who lived through Hurricane Michael really put meaning behind what we were doing. One thing I'm taking away from this trip is how much difference just a little bit of work can do. I definitely want to get involved with more volunteer work in the future. ...Being able to meet new people and do things I would never think of doing. I learned through the service to be very grateful for what you have! ...Camping Outside on our last night. Appreciating time away from all the stress and enjoying a night under the stars in a tent can be exactly what you need.

You learn so much about yourself, just how strong you are, other cultures around the world, the environment, and so much more. It is truly and educational experience you can not receive sitting in a classroom. This will definitely be an experience I remember for the rest of my life. I loved stepping out of my comfort zone, trying new things, and meeting new people. These trip experiences provide a space outside of a classroom for students to grow, appreciate nature, and bond with other students that they might not have.

I had an incredible time giving back to the community and fully embracing a different way of living. This experience allowed me to learn about a different culture outside of the distractions of phones and tourism. I loved spending the week with people I had never talked to before and watching them become some of my new best friends. The most rewarding part of the trip was seeing the progress we made while working on the farm. It was incredible to know that we did as much work in two days as the family could have done in one month by themselves.
