Realistic Education Addressing Conditioning & Health The San Luis Obispo County YMCA is pleased to offer a class on Saturdays for children and families impacted by autism. Program participants will be divided by age and/or abilities based on parent surveys and instructor observations. Any skill level is welcome to participate between the ages of 6 and 18. The program goal is to empower those on the spectrum with independent living skills, physical activity, and fun!

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE KINDER-GRADE 6 When participating in a Y Before or After school program, your child receives more than just quality supervision. Here at the Y, children are valued and mentored by positive adult role models. They are taught character through our Character Counts curriculum and gain a sense of appreciation for their community. Children gain confidence, practice good citizenship, and develop skills that will last a lifetime. Ages served may vary based on location.

Y PRESCHOOL

AFTER SCHOOL CARE GRADES 6-8

The Y provides state licensed preschool for children in a safe, positive, fun, and educational environment. The goal is to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of each child through quality, values-oriented activities which prepare children for Kindergarten. Our program promotes parent involvement, healthy living, and academics.

The Y offers dynamic afterschool programs geared towards pre-teens. The Y is dedicated to teaching each of the Six Pillars of Character to develop these valuable life skills in our youth. Through these Y programs, we help develop skills such as self-regulation, communication, program solving, negotiation, and critical thinking.
