Spiritual Journey to Ireland - Next Summer Mady Fraser and Barney McLaughlin are potentially leading a small group spiritual journey to Ireland. Provided 10 other people commit to go, we’ll be doing this. Dates: June 5-15, 2014 This is 11 days, including the flights over and back. Approximate cost: Maximum $3,000 per person. This does NOT include the cost of the flights. This DOES include housing (with a roommate), transportation, entry fees and breakfast for 9 days. (A single room would add to the cost.) We will be staying in nice hotels and a few B&Bs, traveling (in a small coach) across the north part of the Isle of Ireland, visiting places of Celtic Christian interest, historic interest and seeing amazing Irish scenery. If you are interested, please email Mady at to have your name placed on our email list, ask questions or receive more specific information.

Annual-Planning-Guide and Calendars 2013-2014

Last Saturday for Helping Hands

Calendar shows months January 2013 through June 2014. Print Price: $9.00. (Chalice Press) This is the calendar Disciples, pastors and congregational leaders have relied upon for years. Eighteen-month write-in, spiralbound calendar includes Disciple events and other information needed for church planning. Packed with information useful for your ministry, the calendar also includes a page in back to record your own important names and numbers.

Thanks to all the volunteers that have helped, the house is complete - the only remaining task is laying sod and general cleanup. We will be laying the sod this Saturday from 8:00AM to noon (we can be finished by noon if enough volunteers come for the morning, but it will take longer if there are fewer people). Any one is welcome - this is the only day that all ages can help. So bring your children and come help. If your church's youth group wants to help - this is their chance. Anyone under 18 will need a release form (see bulletin board) signed by their parent, so be sure to bring that with you. Lunch and water will be supplied by our partners from Newfield. Please call Danny Forthman (918 230 3899) today to see if you are still needed tomorrow!

If you are interested in ordering one of these Planning Calendars, please let Marci know in the church office and bring her a $9.00 check or cash by Monday, June 17th. The church office will cover the shipping & handling fee of $15.50. Please let her know by Monday, June 17th. The order will be placed on June 18th. Thank you!!! 918-492-1353, 9am—2pm, M – F

Take a walk through the various public gardens the summer. Philbrook Gardens, on South Rockford Road, lie outside the Philbrook Museum and combine English, French, and Italian styles with ramps, walls, and gated gardens. There are serene places to stop and enjoy the living artwork growing all around. A visit here is a pleasurable sensory experience for visitors of all ages. For a truly educational experience, take a visit to The Linnaeus Teaching Garden in Woodward Park on Peoria Avenue. These teaching gardens display different styles of hard and soft landscaping, including a section that utilizes serene water features. With over 4000 individual trees and plants, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Gardens is another wonderful opportunity to experience in Tulsa. There are over 200 acres of colorful plants and trees to journey through, and they are constantly expanding to create new and interesting landscapes.
