This particular exercise can be done in 3 reps at about the 5 to 12 repetition range. This is not set in stone, so go at your own pace and work your way up. Just because you may have some physical ailments doesn't mean that you shouldn't workout. You just have to find the right ab exercise that fits your current condition.
