Easter at Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum Visit Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum this Easter, there are plenty of things to see and do – something for all the family. Make a Fossil rubbing, create your very own Museum label or just dress up in one of the costumes we have especially for you in the new Museum Gallery

Also for Easter we have

Easter Saturday 7th April 11.00am – 4.00pm. Family drop in day – no booking required Celebrate Easter – by making a wonderful Easter Basket full of hand-made delights! Fill your basket with paper tissue flowers, crafted chicks, Easter bunnies and decorated eggs. Or make a traditional Easter bonnet or crown. £3.00 per person to cover cost of materials Easter Trail – throughout the Easter holidays, Why not bring the family along to take part in our Easter trail – follow the clues around the building – a chocolate treat for those with all the answers! Cost: £1.00 per person to take part.

The Art Gallery & Museum will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Royal Journeys 31st March – 14th July From Iron Age princesses to our current Queen, Worcester has witnessed centuries of royal journeys. The exhibition brings together stories of royal obsessions, escapes, commandments and freedoms, told through historic paintings and a contemporary artwork by acclaimed artist Uriel Orlow.

Craftcase exhibition 21st March – 19th June The Craftcases are located in the Foyer shop and feature work from local and regional makers, usually themed or linked to our exhibitions. To celebrate the Queen's Jubilee we have Jewellery and Tiaras from Ettore Consorte and Belinda Terry and linking with our 'Leather' exhibition, Susan Nickless and Serena Partridge.

Museum Displays The new Museum Gallery opened on 11th February, with lots of amazing objects on display, and plenty of things to see and do, including lots of activities to keep the children entertained! Since 1833 a collection of breathtaking variety and interest has been created for the City of Worcester and our new Museum Gallery celebrates these amazing objects and the fascinating stories that lie at the very heart of this collection. Highlights of the new gallery include: > Dinosaur footprints – made by a three-toed Iguanodon over 130 million years ago! > Worcestershire Sauce archive, including some of the company’s finest historic items on loan from Lea & Perrins > From a real Roman mosaic to a native American totem pole, come and enjoy Worcester’s very special museum and remember, entry is FREE.
