Allford Hall Monaghan Morris London - The Crown Estate - £45m January 2011 to October 2013 - Schematic Design to Construction The client’s ambition is to provide world-class, state-of-the art retail and office accommodation on this prestigious Central London site. The architectural response sensitively mixes preservation of the character of Regent Street with the insertion of a high quality contemporary building. The curved ‘tulip’ shape of the new structure releases space at ground level and tapers gently toward the sky, discreetly concealing itself from view but forming a distinct new contribution to the neighbourhood’s built heritage.
Role & responsibilities General project management with a focus on internal packages & interfaces. Direct contact liaison with client bodies. Responsible for all client presentations. Team management (managing a team of up to 6 assistants during construction documents production). Coordination of all internal packages with external consultants / BIM model. Concept designer for internal spaces.
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris London - Derwent London PLC - ÂŁ72m January 2008 to October 2010 - Design Development to Completion The Angel Building tells a story of reinvention of an early 1980s commercial block on a prominent but under-used site at the corner of St. John Street and Pentonville Road in London. The concrete frame of the existing building was reused and extended at selective points to create a better fit with its context, and the resulting new mass was then re-wrapped with a highly energy-efficient glazed skin. A new atrium space provides a place for the office workers to gather, rest and eat, and the surrounding area, once a passing place and an unpleasant environment, is now a prominent destination in north London.
Role & responsibilities
Package Architect in charge of curtain walling, flooring, entrance, marketing suite and landlord areas interior design, among others. Responsible for all coordination of packages above and of the main atrium sculpture. Production of design development and construction documentation for packages above. Product designer of bespoke items: cafe counter, benching, rugs, terrace gazebos, planters and all signage.

ANGEL BUILDING MARKETING SUITE Allford Hall Monaghan Morris London - Derwent London PLC - ÂŁ250K August 2010 to September 2010 - Schematic Design to Completion The Marketing Suite for the Angel Building consisted of a 200sqm commercial fit out on the 6th Floor of the building which demonstrated the versatility of the office space to prospective tenants. The contract was carried out during construction of the main building by a separate contractor.
Role & responsibilities Solely responsible for entire execution from schematic design to construction documentation and site management.
SELF RESIDENCE Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Oklahoma City - Private Client - Circa $500k October 2010 to February 2011 - Schematic Design The brief was to create a two storey new home attached to the original house occupying the site. The aim was to make best use of the existing vegetation to create shelter and open up views to Lake Hiwassee from the main living quarters.
Role & responsibilities Solely responsible for schematic design including modelling.
BRUNSWICK QUAY MASTERPLAN Studio Egret West Liverpool - Ollerton Developments - Circa ÂŁ120m October 2007 - Competition Entry (Winner) The masterplan was a successful open competition entry for the regeneration strategy of a large area of the Liverpool docks.
Role & responsibilities Involved in masterplan strategy and production of presentation material including hand drawn plans.
LLOYD DAVIES SHOWROOM Ian Simpson Architects Manchester - Lloyd Davies - Circa ÂŁ800k August 2004 to February 2005 - Schematic Design to Design Development A long ramp with display rooms at each landing and a floating timber box containing the management facilities were the main features of this furniture showroom for a B&B Italia & Boffi distributor.
Role & responsibilities Involved in all aspects of schematic design and production of design development documentation.
CENTRE FOR THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ENVIRONMENT Final Year Project - John Moores University Liverpool - 2004 The brief called for an educational building within a masterplan that converted an area on the outskirts of Liverpool into a destination for understanding sustainable design.
