Remote and yet accessible via a 2 hour road journey from Darwin, Wildman Wilderness Lodge is a small-scale, high quality wilderness retreat. A diverse and exciting range of tours are on offer and essential to the experience is crocodile spotting on the home billabong sunset cruise, or the leisurely Mary River Wetlands cruise.

The main Lodge is at the centre of the Wildman experience. It epitomises Top End architecture and is designed for maximum comfort throughout the seasons. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal with a feeling of comfort and quality. The building’s design allows for the free flow of air throughout.It is fully screened and fan-cooled. The spacious lounge bar is air conditioned. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering guests a variety of sumptuous options showcasing seasonal produce from around Australia. Environmental best practice technology has been optimised in all operational aspects of the generation of power, and the treatment of water and sewerage, with the aim of creating minimal environmental impact.

Guest Accommodation

Wildman offers two distinct styles of accommodation for guests, ten air-conditioned Habitats and 15 spacious Safari Tents. The Habitats are fully air-conditioned free standing structures with all the amenities expected from a luxury lodge including premium quality furnishings, king size beds and en suite bathrooms. Safari Tents are surprisingly spacious at 50m2. Each is fan-cooled with a private en suite bathroom and luxurious bedding. Two larger safari tents are available for families accommodating up to four people.

Each tented cabin on site has been designed to offer a comfortable and private place to enjoy the tranquillity of the remote wilderness. Each cabin features twin beds with fresh linen; a bed side table; light and fan, and a small veranda with chairs. Conveniently located near your tented cabins are shared bathroom facilities that feature hot showers, flushing toilets and wash basins. There is also a small lounge and library for guests use. An outdoor spa is available for those wanting to soak their muscles at the end of the day. Home-style Meals Come evening time, delightful three course meals are served in the dining room. In the morning, you’ll prepare for the day over a hearty breakfast.
