SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA LAND DISCOVERY HIGHLIGHTS FEBRUARY 11TH


Behind the Scenes at the Santa Barbara Zoo Departure Time: 1:00pm Duration: 3 hours $229 per person The Santa Barbara Zoo is home to elephants, leopards and many other crowd-pleasing creatures. An experienced guide will take you on a private tour group through the Zoo as you get to see animal exhibits in a way the general public never sees!


Santa Barbara City Tour Departure Time: 9:00am Duration: 3 hours $60 per person Santa Barbara delivers the gracious good life amid sun-splashed stucco and red-tile roofs with a pitchperfect climate. Tucked between Pacific beaches and the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, explore the charming town while accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. A stop will also be made at The Mission, a historic landmark founded in 1786 featuring Native ruins of the Indians. Specializing in limited production wines from Santa Barbara County, the founder, Ryan Carr, will accompany you throughout the tour explaining how he handcrafts each vintage from grapes grown to his specification. Varietals include Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Franc.


Hidden Gems of the California wine country* Departure Time: 11:00am Duration: 6.5 hours $249 per person Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Santa Barbara to the Santa Ynez Valley, making your first stop at Fess Parker Winery. Your next stop will be in Las Alamos where you will visit Global Gardens and enjoy a private lunch at Caliterranean CafĂŠ with the owners, Theoadora Stephan and Sonja Magdevski. Big Sur & California’s Majestic Coastline Departure Time: 3:00pm Duration: 3.5 hours $59 per person Enjoy one of the most scenic drives California has to offer as you wind your way from Monterey to Big Sur, taking in the majestic Santa Lucia Mountains and the rocky Pacific Coast plunging into the Sea. These roads are designated an American National Scenic Byway and California Scenic Highway, an honor reserved for highways that are so distinctive they are destinations unto themselves. Enjoy numerous photo stops as you travel along these roads especially on your return as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean.


Monterey and Carmel including 17 Mile Drive Departure Time: 2:45pm Duration: 3.75 hours $64 per person Depart for a scenic journey through the charming artist’s village of Carmel. Pass quaint Bed and Breakfast Inns. Stop along the Main Street of Carmel, stroll among the various Art Galleries, Coffee Shops, and Antique Stores. Continue on to Monterey’s beautiful 17-Mile Drive. This private resident-only road snakes past some of the most breathtaking ocean-side vistas in California. Stops will be made at Seal and Bird rock for a close up look at the habitants of the Pacific. Bring your cameras for an up-close look at the otters, seals and birds that lounge within the area. Elkhorn Slough Safari Tour February 11th Departure Time: 2:30pm Duration: 3 hours $159 per person Join a guided adventure up Elkhorn Slough, one of California’s largest wetlands. This precious wildliferich reserve winds inland seven miles and provides an important feeding and resting place for a variety of wildlife. During your pontoon boat journey you will see a variety of wildlife such as playful sea otters, curious harbor seals, sea lions, and hundreds of species of birds.


SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA LAND DISCOVERY HIGHLIGHTS FEBRUARY 13-15TH


Alcatraz Island & Golden Gate Bridge Departure Time: 8:30am Duration: 5.5 hours $89 per person Your tour begins with a drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to the unique town of Sausalito. Once a rumrunner’s port, Sausalito is now an artist’s colony with Mediterranean flair. Enjoy free time in Sausalito Village exploring the area’s art galleries and charming arts and crafts shops. Next, you will head to Alcatraz Landing where you will board the ferry to Alcatraz Island. Upon arrival, a Park Ranger will provide an introduction to the infamous prison prior to your audio tour through the facility. During your visit on the Island you will have many photo opportunities and, weather permittin, you may be able to view the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Yerba Buena Island, Berkeley, Downtown San Francisco and much of the San Francisco Bay. Return from Alcatraz at your leisure and enjoy a short walk back to your ship.


Napa Valley Wine Train* Departure Time: 9:00am Duration: 6.75 hours $229 per person You will be whisked away from the San Francisco bay to the Napa Valley onboard a shuttle. Where you will arrive at the Wine Train station located in downtown Napa. Before boarding the train, you will have time to visit the shops of downtown Napa. Once you board the train, you will be welcomed with a glass of wine and a meal prepared your specifications in our specially designed kitchen car. Along the journey, the Train passes the most famous vineyards including Robert Mondavi Winery, Opus One, Far Niente, and other gems situated along our 25-mile track. *Guests are responsible for their own alcohol and gratuity on board the train. California Twilight Cruise Departure Time: 5:00pm Duration: 2.75 hours $65 per person Be amazed by San Francisco’s sparkling city lights, as you enjoy an assortment of hearty and tasty appetizers aboard this twilight cruise. San Francisco’s illuminated skyline will be sure to dazzle you while you delight in live guitar music onboard. Cruise along the illuminated skyline of San Francisco with its modern skyscrapers and historic landmarks, past the infamous island of Alcatraz, under the impressive San Francisco Bay Bridge and the legendary Golden Gate, while sharing drinks with friends and family.


ENSENADA, MEXICO LAND DISCOVERY HIGHLIGHTS FEBRUARY 17TH


Ensenada City and Mexican Fiesta Departure Time: 2:30pm Duration: 4 hours $59 per person Your tour begins with a fully narrated history of Ensenada, passing the monuments of the old city. Once you reach the center of town, a Mariachi Band will serenade you on the patio as you enjoy complimentary refreshment and wander through craft displays by local artisans. You’ll then be led into the Grand Ballroom for a fabulous Mexican Folkloric show featuring singers, dancers and of course, the Mariachis. Dressed in colorful costumes the cast will introduce you to several Mexican regions through song and dance.


Calafia Valley Wine Country Departure Time: 2:30pm Duration: 4 hours $49 per person Visit the two most prestigious wine and brandy makers in Mexico: Cava Doùa Lupe, and L.A. CETTO. Well known and respected for its Sherries, brandies and wines for three centuries, you will taste a variety of wines and assorted cheeses from both wineries. A local guide will escort you on a walking tour of the winery’s facilities, where you will see firsthand the art of wine making before partaking in the scenic countryside drive back to the port.
