Joseph’s suffering probably seemed even worse when “this friend” forgot about him. Still, Joseph continued to live obediently to God. He knew that the Lord was with him. Tuesday – Run From Temptation Read: Genesis 39:6-20 and 1 Timothy 6:11 When Joseph’s master, Potiphar, saw him work hard and saw that the Lord was with him, he put Joseph in charge of everything he owned. Potiphar knew he could trust Joseph. While Joseph was working for Potiphar, his wife tempted Joseph. She wanted him to act like he was married to her even though she was married to Potiphar. Joseph knew that this was wrong. He refused saying, “How could I do such a

Even though she bothered him day after day, what did Joseph do? he argued with her a lot he tried to reason with her he stayed away from her Are you tempted sometimes to do what other people tell you to do? yes no When Potiphar’s wife tempted him again, he ran out of the house. What did he leave behind? his cloak his shoes his hat Did Joseph do what God tells us to do in 1 Timothy 6:11? “But you, man of God, ___ ___ ___ ___ from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.” If you are tempted this week, will you run from it and run to God? for sure I’ll try it depends
