BENWICK CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
by Amanda Lunn
Firstly, Happy New year to you all! We just formed a committee to get Xmas lights and a tree in our village. We managed to get a free Xmas tree from Pip and Charlie Cooper from Littleport. We have also had a raffle, a small hamper, sweet box, biscuits and wine donated by myself and family. We raised £161.00, which Nicole Sanders spent many hours selling. We also had help via Benwick Christmas Sing Along arranged

I’d like to say a massive thank you to them and everyone who supported us. The first Annual General Meeting of the Benwick Christmas Lights Committee will take place at The Five Alls on Feb, 8th, 8pm, to elect persons onto the committee (open to the public). On April the 1st at 1pm we will be doing an Easter egg hunt, which will be held on the school grounds where it is secure for young children. I’d like to thank Mrs Jackie North, head teacher of Benwick primary school, for allowing us to use there grounds.
Welcome to the New Year and to the new Benwick Bugle edition!
