LIVE IN THE MOMENT by Susanne Nichols Dear Benwickians, Welcome in 2018! I hope you have been able to enjoy yourself and counter the Christmas stress with a huge number of mince pies and a glass of bubbles. By now many of us are back in their usual day-to-day lives, trying to keep up with all the jobs which have to be done in a day. During the holidays I’ve read a book about the Himalaya’s, and I found a poem from the Dalai Lama, which I would like to share with you today: There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow. So today is the right day to love, believe, do, and mostly live. We all are aware of it, but it is so easy to forget. We can’t live in the past, the past is gone, nothing can be done to change anything which has already happened in our lives. The same counts for our future. We can plan it, we can dream about it, but we can’t live it, it’s future. The only time we can live is today. So make sure you are living your life as best as you can, and try to not worry about the past or future. With this in mind, I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year! .
