As residents of Bentwater, we are all pretty good at keeping an eye on our surroundings in the daylight hours. If we are out taking a morning walk and a car speeds past us, we notice it. If we are heading to the grocery store in the afternoon and an unfamiliar car is outside our neighbor’s home, it stands out like a sore thumb. But what about in the night time hours; whose watching for unusual activities after dark? The answer should be… all of us. Don’t worry, no one expects you to stay up around the clock, on the look out for crime. But, if you happen to wake up to go to the bathroom or to get a drink of water, that’s the perfect time to be the Eyes of Bentwater. Go to your front door or a front window and look outside and see if everything looks okay. Hopefully all will be quiet and still.
