Vicki Askew A Love Of The Game For A Lifetime

Susan James, Francis Halter, Ruth Moser, Vicki Askew

Bentwater is blessed to have many wonderful people living in our community and none more delightful then the 91-year old tennis player, Vicki Askew. She moved here in 2011 from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, and wasted no time getting involved in all of the activities that Bentwater has to offer. Vicki can be seen playing bridge, working out in the fitness center, or attending North Shore Church… but most impressive is her love for the game of tennis. You may see her during a weekly private tennis lesson with our Director of Tennis, Mike Doty, or perhaps during her early morning tennis match with friends Susan James, Francis Halter and Ruth Moser. If that is not enough tennis for the 91 year old, she participates on the

C-Pink North Country Women’s League Team Workout Drill, plus she can be seen at the Saturday morning Club Drill. Vicki started playing tennis at the age of 50 and quickly fell in love with a game that can be played for a lifetime. Vicki’s love for tennis has been widely recognized by the installation of a beautiful six-court tennis center with three indoor/ three outdoors courts that have been dedicated in her name and donated to the city of Ebensburg. Vicki has two sons, Rod McMahon, who lives on the other side of Lake Conroe, and Vince McMahon, who is the owner of the WWF World Wrestling Federation, and 12 great grandchildren.
