NOT JUST A SKI RESORT Mount Crested Butte is not just a winter ski resort; it is also a hub for all your summer activities. There is a

new adventure park at the bottom of the lifts that includes rock climbing, bungee jump and covered putt-putt golf. The ski mountain also runs two lifts in the summer for the extensive hiking and biking trails all over the mountain including to the top of the peak. The base area also has an extensive selection of restaurants, bars and shopping open during the summer months. Mount Crested Butte is a great place to start out from for some of the best mountain biking trails in the world including the world renowned 401 trail. Festivals and activities happening on the mountain this year are the Fat Tire Bike Week with a free concert at the base area with Karl Denison and The Tiny Universe, Bluegrass in Paradise with featured artists Drew Emmitt and Billy Nershi, Blue Highway Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Bearfoot, Springcreek Bluegrass and Shannon Whitworth and every Wednesday evening, free concerts throughout the summer at the base area including artists such as TBird and The Breaks, Jason Eady, Solas, Carolyn Wonderland, The John Jorgenson Quintet and Reckless Kelly, 4th of July fireworks with free summer concert and Fall Festival of Beers and Chili Cook-off all located at the base area.
