Backgammon is among the world’s oldest board games and is still played today. The playing pieces are moved according to the roll of dice, and a player wins by removing all of his pieces from the board before his opponent. The aim of this game is to take away all your own pieces from the board before your opponent can do the same.

Hit a blot: ‘Blot’ is a term used to refer to a single checker on a point and the opponent may hit or attack it. The same point cannot be inhabited by different colored checkers.
