In the deepest of wood lived Sir Barnaby Fox, he loved and adored his stylish red socks.

He wore them all day and wore them all night, however one morning he woke with a fright!

For during the evening blew a cold gusty breeze, which swept off his socks with the greatest of ease.

Where were they now? Where did they go? The answer to these he just had to know.

So the journey begins for Sir Barnaby Fox, to find and bring home his stylish red socks. Down the old path and out of the wood, across the cool stream where the oak tree stood.

From on top of the hill he could see an old house, standing in front was his friend Manfred Mouse. “Hello my old friend!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You haven't by chance found my stylish red socks?”

“For during the evening blew a cold gusty breeze, which swept off my socks with the greatest of ease.” “Oh no!” said Manfred “how terribly sad!” "All I have found is this warm sleeping bag.”

“I found it this morning while looking for cheese, it must have blown in from the cold gusty breeze.” “Fantastic, you found it!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You found the first of my stylish red socks!”

So the journey continues with the greatest of haste, for Sir Barnaby knows there is no time to waste. With one sock recovered and three to be found, all of a sudden came the strangest of sound.

“Tweety, weet, tweet” was the sound that was heard, perched on a branch sat Benita Black Bird. “Hello my old friend!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You haven't by chance found my stylish red socks?”

“For during the evening blew a cold gusty breeze, which swept off my socks with the greatest of ease.” “Oh no, I'm sorry!” Miss Benita expressed, “I did find this cushion for my lovely new nest!”

“I found it this morning amongst these tall trees, it must have blown in from the cold gusty breeze.” “Outstanding, you found it!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You found the second of my stylish red socks!”

So the journey continues with the greatest of haste, for Sir Barnaby knows there is no time to waste. With two socks recovered and still two to retrieve, Sir Barnaby saw something he could hardly believe.

Over the hedge with a leap and a bound, out of no where jumped Henry The Hound. “Hello my old friend!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You haven't by chance found my stylish red socks?”

“For during the evening blew a cold gusty breeze, which swept off my socks with the greatest of ease.” “Why no, I have not!” said Henry the Hound, “All I have found is this hat on the ground.”

“I found it this morning while scratching for fleas, it must have blown in from the cold gusty breeze.” “Terrific, you found it!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You found the third of my stylish red socks!”

So the journey continues with the greatest of haste, For Sir Barnaby knows there is no time to waste. With three socks recovered and the last now to find, Sir Barnaby heard a strange “buzz� from behind.

Suddenly a swarm of bees raced through the air, chasing behind was young Baldwin Bear. “Hello my old friend!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You haven't by chance found my stylish red socks?”

“For during the evening blew a cold gusty breeze, which swept off my socks with the greatest of ease.” "I'm sorry,” said Baldwin "I'm afraid I have not." "I did find this sack for my large honey pot."

“I found it this morning while chasing those bees, it must have blown in from the cold gusty breeze.” “Terrific, you found it!” said Sir Barnaby Fox, “You found the last of my stylish red socks!”

Now with all socks recovered and his journey complete, Sir Barnaby heads home with four socks on his feet.

With a spring in his step and as quick as he could, down the old path and back into the wood.

What a day it had been for Sir Barnaby Fox, to find and bring home his stylish red socks.

Now finally home and happy as can be, Sir Barnaby sits down to a hot cup of tea.
