Little Village Industrial Corridor Mayor Emanuel's Industrial Corridor Modernization Initiative is a new process by the Department of Planning and Development to refine land use policies for continued growth and private investment in the City’s Industrial Corridor system. In March of 2018, DPD began the Little Village industrial corridor modernization process (LV ICMP) with the goal of evaluating the employment and land use trends and relevance of current industrial corridor boundaries. However, to adequately address and tackle this topic, there needs to be an intentional reframing of context. The LV ICMP is scheduled to conclude in October 2018. There are five upcoming public meetings to discuss the future of the LVIC and we highly encourage your attendance: Little Village Industrial Corridor Community Meetings Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, @ 1-3 p.m. Little Village Branch Library (2311 S.
