My portfolio showcases a broad selection of work across print and digital - from brand development, graphic design, layout and illustration to web design, digital media and product development. As a designer and developer, I persistently stretch the limits of my knowledge in pursuit of the best solution. With over 18 years experience as a creative professional and technical specialist, my skills are wide ranging. I have advanced knowledge of Adobe CS including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and consider myself a WordPress expert. Consistently proven to add value to the projects I’m involved in, I am committed to visual communication and believe that multifunctional simplicity through design will help define our future.

Working for a successful B2B agency, employing hands-on experience delivering a mix of creative skills. These include graphic design, artworking, web management, hosting, development and studio traffic management. Point of contact both as support for the clients and delivering creative briefs whilst working with an array of freelancers. Keeping abreast of schedules and updating clients of work in progress. Maintaining good relationships with agency clients and service providers. Delivering a range of projects across design including print and digital, the agency build websites so predominantly managing builds in MODx and WordPress.

Identifying and implementing resource provision and delivering technical support directly for all Art PGCE and related Ed Studies courses. Liaison with suppliers and contractors, managing resources and session support for academic staff and students. Supporting courses in a creative capacity, generating in-house graphic design and production artwork for print, display and web. Audio and Visual support including Photography, Digital Imaging, Video Production and IT support (Mac/PC) including iPad and mobile device management. Provisioning for teaching spaces and workshops within the areas of Art and Design, Ceramics, 3D, Glass and Jewellery. Comprehensive H&S support for the centre, the development and application of safe working practices and ongoing risk assessment. Liaison with suppliers and contractors, managing resources and session support for teaching. Facility relocation, modernisation of workshops and providing support off site for the National Trust’s “Beauty & The Beast” exhibition, affiliated with the Arts council. Notable successes: • Contributed to Grade 1: Outstanding Ofsted accreditation 2007 • Supported National Trust exhibition, affiliated with the Arts council • Significant facility relocation and modernisation of the Art & Design workshops.

MARK WILKINSON FURNITURE

(TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY FITTED INTERIORS)

Working for an internationally renowned fitted interiors and bespoke furniture manufacturer. Responsibilities included the production of technical drawings and presentations using AutoCAD and 3DS Max to the Sales Designer’s specification. I was also responsible for the production of detailed drawings on request for the manufacture of bespoke items. Responsibilities extended to the provision of all preliminary mechanical & electrical installation drawings. Notable successes: • Planning interiors and furniture schematics for contracts of £300,000+ • Initiated new 3D, modular presentation services for the sales design team

HERMAN MILLER

(INTERNATIONAL OFFICE FURNITURE MANUFACTURER)

Working with the design manager on the development of designs for new office furniture systems and existing product ranges. Specifically, I was required to assist in developing innovative mobile storage solutions for Herman Miller’s “Resolve” furniture product. Notable successes: • This role was offered to me after being awarded top honours for a live client project in my final year at university. Set and adjudicated by the Herman Miller UK design team, the project brief focused on developing new products and furniture accessories to fit with the company’s prototype ranges for future, sustainable and flexible office environments.
