III TUTTO TORNA - MILAN project for a building for playing in via Antegnati in Milan professor Arnaldo Arnaldi Interior Design Studio The project is in a portion of the peripheral city of Milan, characterized by a high number of abandoned and never finished buildings, designed during the speculation period. The project wants to re-interpret and re-write one of these buildings, so that it can acquire a new life, coherent with what surrounds the building itself. The high percentage of a population coming from different nationalities, living in often precarious social conditions, has led to the choice of the function: a building destined to the playing, as an indispensable activity for the health of the society and full of social development; the play originates security, order and well-being for the group. In addition, all peoples play, and indeed play in a curiously similar way. The aim of the project is, first of all, to generate a building that can be completely permeable to the ground floor. Moreover, right from the start, the building’s function has been made immediately recognizable. Taking reference to the famous game for children “wooden stories, inside the supporting structure, maintained, some volumes were inserted; they have different shapes, sizes and colors, independent from the rest of the building, both on a functional and structural level , and each containing a specific function. The building is also characterized by a central courtyard, which, in the basement, is used as a playground, flexible to more sports activities, accessible via a staircase, which also serves as a tribune.
