From Your Pastor’s Heart
We had a great day of worship last Sunday as we observed the ordinance of baptism and saw the Holy Spirit moving in lives throughout our congregation. We have been praying for true revival to breakout in our church and country, and we are seeing evidence of the beginning of revival as mercy drops of blessing from our Heavenly Father are falling within our congregation. However, we are praying for showers of blessings, a spiritual downpour from Heaven. Our Father will do this when we, all of His people, humble ourselves in awe before Him, pray in confession to Him, seek His face continually and repent of our sin, turning from our wicked ways and returning to intimacy with Him and obedience to Him. Let’s do this and experience the true showers of revival blessings! Gerald and Alice Harkins, missionaries to Senegal, will be speaking to us in the morning worship hour this Sunday. Our church supports Gerald and Alice as they work in Senegal to translate the scriptures into the Wolof language. They will be sharing about their work there and the ways we can pray for them as they serve. Plan to be in worship this Sunday and continue to pray for Gerald and Alice as they prepare to come and share with us. We have scheduled Murray Tilles, the director of Light of Messiah Ministries to be with us on April 23-26. Murray was with us two years ago as he led us in a Seder meal and presented Jesus in the Passover. Murray will be coming to lead us in three days of Bible Study focusing on Jesus in the Old Testament and will be leading us in another Jesus in the Passover meal on Wednesday evening of that week. This event will be open to the entire community, so mark these dates on your calendar and invite your friends and neighbors to join you. I am praying that the Lord will use these four days to bring revival to our church and community. See you in Bible Study and Worship this Sunday! In the Sonshine! Bro. John
