Belleair Summer Camp Fees: Members: Non-Members: $45/Week $60/Week Field trip fees are included. 2 Day Pre Camp: June 9-10: Members: Non-Members: $20/2 Days $35/2 Days

Payment 1: Upon registration 50% of camp fees are due to the Town of Belleair. Payment 2: May 20- remaining fees must be paid or unpaid weeks will be dropped. All specialty camps must be paid in full at time of registration.

Refund Policy A “Request for Refund� form must be filled out and returned to the Belleair Rec at least 5 working days prior to the session in which a refund is requested. If available, the refunded amount may be transferred to another session. Any requests submitted 5 or fewer days, that cannot be transferred, will be assessed a $10 processing fee. All field trip fees are non-refundable.

About Belleair Summer Camp The Belleair Recreation Department will be offering morning youth camp during the summer of 2011. This special program will be for children ages 6-12 and will be held Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Space is limited to 100 campers per week. Early drop off will be available at 8:00 am. Our goal is to offer a variety of recreational summer camp activities with the emphasis on safety, relationship building and FUN! Choice of activities will be geared toward each child’s age and abilities. We dedicate ourselves to choosing the finest staff and training them to provide the highest quality program for your child.

The Belleair Rec Counselor-in-Training program is a volunteer program for ages 13-18. This program allows teens to achieve their community service hours in a fun and safe atmosphere. As a CIT, teens will learn responsibility, leadership skills, team building and so much more. Applications for the CIT program are available at the front desk and online at Applications are due Friday, May 6th. If you are a new applicant, you may be asked to interview with a Rec Staff member. A er Lunch Bunch Belleair Summer Camp will now be offered in the afternoons for a few weeks during the summer! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hang out with your counselors all day. Campers will play all of their favorite games, participate in arts and crafts and most importantly… HAVE FUN! Week 4: 6/27-7/1 Week 6: 7/11-7/15 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Member: $35/week

American Girl Camp With so many American girl dolls to choose from, discover which doll is right for you. Bring your American Girl doll for playtime, crafts, activities and tea parties for a week of creative learning and lasting friendships. Week 2: 6/13-6/17 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-10


Art Camp Splash on a little color...create some cool shapes...let your creative juices flow! No experience required…just a desire to have fun, spend time with friends, and be creative. Under the fun-filled guidance of two art-loving and experienced instructors, you'll experiment with a wide variety of mediums to create 2-D and 3-D masterpieces! Beginning Sewing This is a beginning sewing camp to introduce basic stitching and making homemade things for ourselves from hand. We will complete 1 to 2 sewing projects per day and explore making patterns and fabrics! Week 6: 7/11-7/15 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 7-11


Cheer Camp Ready? Ok! Check out Cheer Camp with Tara Lynn. Participants will learn chants, cheers, dances, jumps, beginner stunting and more. Don’t miss this fun-filled, action packed camp! Week 8: 7/25-7/29 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12


Crea ve Cooking Camp Roll up your sleeves, feel the dough between your fingers and get ready to slice and dice! Campers will receive hands-on training in food preparation, learn to read recipes, and explore creative, healthy foods. Campers will create a cookbook to take home with the recipes from the week. Week 5: 7/5-7/8 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12 Member: $75/week Non-Member: $90/week

So You Think You Can Dance? Dance your heart out with instructor Tara Lynn at the West Florida Dance Center. Tara will teach a well rounded dance curriculum including tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and more! Camp includes a finale dance performance the last day of camp. Don’t miss this toe tapping event!! Belleair’s Best Dance Crew Join your friends and assemble a group of dancers to explore dance and choreography. Choreograph a routine with your Crew and compete to become Belleair’s Best Dance Crew! Week 9: 8/1-8/5 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12


Dance Intensive Camp For one week only, Tara Lynn will be teaching dance in various disciplines of the arts with a focus on technique. This dance camp is for kids who are interested in expanding their knowledge of dance. Week 11: 8/15-8/19 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12


Digital Movie Making Working as a movie production team, you’ll do it all and make your own movie! You are the casting director, the script writer, the set maker, producer, director and camera operator! Film and edit using great Lego movie sets and then add music and special effects. In no time your digital movie will be ready to show off to everyone. Learning and fun go hand in hand in this exciting camp Week 7: 7/18-7/22 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 9-12


For Girls Only Camp At F.G.O. there are NO boys allowed! Girls will love this fun filled week with arts and crafts, games, glitz and glamour. Create and wear your design on the runway at Belleair’s very own Project Runway show. Week 10: 8/8-8/12 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12 Member: $75/week Non-Member: $90/week

Mad Science Camp Crazy Chemistry Delve into the world of atoms, molecules, and chemical reactions. From the super tiny to the super slimy, this fun, hands-on and interactive program for children sends them on a fascinating journey of exploration and discovery into the world of chemistry! Week 8: 7/25-7/29 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12

Mad Science Camp NASA: Junior Astronaut Training We will be going to Mars in 25 years according to NASA. That puts our students at the right age to lead these exciting journeys, so let’s get a head start on training! This hands-on program designed with NASA explores all atmosphere, solar system and space phenomena as well as the forces of flight, living in space and the challenges of space travel. Children will build their own Sky Blazer rocket and experience a real rocket launch. Week 1: 6/6-6/10 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12



Mad Science Camp Mad Machines and Engineering MaWhether you love to build things or destroy them, this camp includes lots of both! Discover how many different machines, simple & complex, we use in our daily lives. You will have fun building your own catapults to take home and will design simple machines using pulleys, wedges, screws and levers. Use the machines you create to feed yourself and shoot ping-pong balls! As junior engineers, you will design & build bridges and "skyscrapers" using simple tools and construct a geodesic dome big enough for all to sit inside! Build a take home puzzle that will stump your parents! Week 11: 8/15-8/19 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12

Magic Camp Everyone can be a magician! Magician Barb Terry presents Magic Camp for one week only! Magicians-in-Training will learn beginner stage magic, how to perform tricks, handling rabbits and doves and stage presence. Don’t forget to invite your family and friends to the final performance where you can showcase your magical talents! Space is limited so sign up early! Week 9: 8/1-8/5 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 8-12



Kids Variety Show Camp Have a blast at the Kids Variety Show Camp. This four day camp brings you a new variety of entertainment each day. Learn how to make balloon animals and creations on day 1. Day 2 will feature a magical day of creating and performing magic tricks. Day 3 will introduce you to the basics of juggling. Each child will bring home props and instructions for each show piece they learn. Don’t forget to invite your family and friends to the Kids Variety Show performance where you can showcase your talents! Week 5: 7/5-7/8 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 8-12


Video Game Crea on Learn to make your own video games! Design, create and edit your own 2-D arcade-style video games. You design the action, you create the characters, you pick the backgrounds, and program everything to do what you want! You’ll get a copy of the software for your computer at home so you can keep making more games or create new ones as your programming skills get better and better. Week 10: 8/8-8/12 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 9-12


All Sports Camp Join the staff of Stacey Simmons Sports Training for All Sports Camp. Learn teamwork and improve your skills through a variety of sports with our unique blend of instruction and games. Sports will range from kick ball and ultimate frisbee to football and soccer and everything in between. Get ready for an exciting week of sports and fun! Week 8: 7/25-7/29 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 6-12


Belleair Hoop School Hoop it up with Coach Steve Willis and staff as they teach the fundamentals of basketball in this five day camp. This camp will teach ball handling, shooting, passing and defense. Students will play 3 on 3 basketball games, 5 on 5 games, hot-shot contests, and free throw contests, all in a fun and exciting environment. Week 2: 6/13-6/17 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Member: $75/week

Fishing Camp Join Master Angler Eric Wahlbeck as he teaches the fundamentals of fishing in this five day camp. This camp will teach basic knot tying, casting, angling techniques, and much more. The class will go to local piers to fish. All students will receive a new fishing rod and reel to keep, courtesy of the Fish Florida Foundation. Week 9: 8/1-8/5 1:00 pm– 4:00 pm Ages: 8-14 Member: $75/week Non-Member: $90/week

Football Camp Through the coaching of current and former NFL and college football players, the Stacy Simmons All Pro Football Camp will teach the fundamentals of the game, while promoting teamwork which is necessary for success at all levels. Through the combined experience of our coaching staff, WE GUARANTEE that your child will improve and gain the competitive edge needed to succeed. GCU Soccer Camp GCU soccer camps focuses on teaching the fundamental techniques of the game and showing players how to master these skills. Tailor-made for junior players with a fun and friendly atmosphere that will help your young soccer star strive to reach peak performance. Campers will begin each day with a fun warm up game to loosen up and start off on the right foot. This will be followed by the technical portion of the session, focusing on ball control, passing and shooting. The day will conclude with small-sided games where campers will have the opportunity to utilize skills learned earlier in the day. Week 4: 6/27-7/1 Week 10: 8/8-8/12 1:00 pm-4:00 pm

Sandlot Camp Join the Belleair staff as we host our Sandlot Camp. The kids will choose the sport and play as long as they want. Staff will supervise all games. Some sports can include: Baseball, Wiffleball, Flag football, Soccer, Basketball, Dodgeball, Street Hockey, Capture the Flag, Kickball, and many more great games. Speed Camp Join Stacey Simmons, former Gator Track and Field Star and NFL wide receiver, for a week of speed training GUARANTEED to make your child faster! Speed Camp will incorporate the innovative techniques used in his Rapid Acceleration Program, a speed, strength, and conditioning program. This camp will be beneficial for athletes of all sports as it will teach proper running techniques and change of direction skills, improving your child’s overall athleticism. By incorporating different sports games and events, Speed Camp will provide a fun and exciting environment in which to improve. Week 3: 6/20-6/24 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
