Get Your Sweat On,

Club-Style By Alesha Lazan

H

yped as one of NYC’s hottest new fitness studios, Rhythm Ryde is a place where you can either start your day with a motivated mindset or sweat the day away. Joey Foley, one of the owners and instructors, brings a ton of energy to the mix. Case in point: Folks in a recent 7a.m. spin class left drenched but wanting more. And, you don’t need to be a spin fanatic to get into the Brooklyn-based classes. Between the pumping music and the lights show, you’ll feel like you’re at a club while working out.

RHYTHM RYDE CO-OWNER JOEY FOLEY

Foley, along with co-owner Nada Vasilijevic, designed the experience to be “a party on a bike,” which they definitely achieved! Rhythm Ryde is community-oriented, and has a “mom and pop”-type feel to it. You aren’t just another member—you’re part of a family, albeit a very sweaty one. Much of that heart comes from Foley, who says he finally found his calling. “I did everything right—went to school, got the degree and the job, but I still wasn’t happy.” This studio feeds his soul, he says—and it shows. But we can’t give him all the credit; Vasilijevic definitely makes the studio feel warm and welcoming. This power couple will be changing the face of spin and boxing, bringing a whole new feel to their classes—motivation mixed with party. You can’t go wrong with that combo, so check it out the next time you’re in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn. Rhythm-Ryde.com
