appy 2019! I must say I am happy to usher in a new year—a new chapter filled with so much possibility and excitement. The feeling of starting anew is invigorating, and I am a firm believer that to get drastic results, you need drastic change, so that is my mantra moving forward.

You can see by my new headshot that I am taking my mission seriously. I want to thank Angelo David and his amazing team for my much more modern and sophisticated look. I know people get nervous to change their appearance, but I love to mix it up, and let’s be honest, I have been rocking the long blonde hair for so long—a change was desperately needed.

I felt the same way about BELLA during 2018, and so we slowly made changes to get us to where we are today—a more modern, sleek, luxury feel that is continually expanding and primed for some serious growth this year. And growth there will be, as BELLA New York and BELLA Los Angeles have merged into one larger, more comprehensive look at my two favorite cities. Even better, BELLA will now be sold at all Barnes & Noble stores nationwide. Yes, I said nationwide—something I wasn’t sure was in the cards or even possible when we started as a hyperlocal publication within the five boroughs of NYC eight years ago. The fact that this “Little Engine That Could” will now be available for purchase in all 50 states really shows me yet again that the sky’s the limit when it comes to your dreams. And it doesn’t stop there! Make sure to tune in to daily BELLA TV shows across our social media channels, and follow us online for exclusive content on, which now houses all our NY and LA content in one click-worthy place. Here’s to a year of exciting expansion and many wonderful things.
