Paralegal Apprenticeship This Apprenticeship will give you an insight into the legal profession and provide routes into higher education, combining work-based learning with academic learning. You will be working as a Paralegal, undertaking a variety of tasks to support lawyers, including maintaining and organising files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents. You will also be involved in various aspects of the legal profession and may assist in work such as: taking statements from witnesses; interviewing clients and passing on relevant information; researching cases and any pertinent legal information needed. You will gain a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx). Bright Future Law Apprenticeship Closing date: 5 January 2018 Our innovative programme offers an alternative to university and gives you the opportunity to qualify as a solicitor and be awarded an LLB university degree. Our six-year programme combines work-based learning in our London office and parttime study with BPP University. You will earn a salary and have no university fees to pay. Kick Start Work Experience Programme Summer 2018 The BLP Career Kick-Start Work Experience programme is designed to provide Year 12 students with a detailed insight into what it’s like to work in a City law firm and in inhouse legal roles. The programme comprises two weeks as follows: Week One (23 - 27 July 2018) - A week at BLP’s offices, gaining a real insight into what lawyers do on a daily basis via work shadowing as well as information on the different routes in to the profession and a number of skills sessions to help prepare you for the world of work. Week Two (30 July – 3 August 2018) – A week visiting a different organisation each day in a variety of sectors – including sports, financial services and media. During this week you will learn how law firms interact with their clients and the different roles for lawyers in these organisations.
