Kick Start Work Experience Programme Summer 2018 The BLP Career Kick-Start Work Experience programme is designed to provide Year 12 students with a detailed insight into what it’s like to work in a City law firm and in inhouse legal roles. The programme comprises two weeks as follows: Week One (23 - 27 July 2018) - A week at BLP’s offices, gaining a real insight into what lawyers do on a daily basis via work shadowing as well as information on the different routes in to the profession and a number of skills sessions to help prepare you for the world of work. Week Two (30 July – 3 August 2018) – A week visiting a different organisation each day in a variety of sectors – including sports, financial services and media. During this week you will learn how law firms interact with their clients and the different roles for lawyers in these organisations. Our business is a 9 bedroom hotel with 60 seater restaurant and function room seating 130. We offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea 7 days a week with a vast array of themed nights and functions giving the opportunity to learn many different cuisines and recipes. We are an independent business with no ties to any companies so the chefs are free to order and design brand new dishes everyday if they so wish. Part time Groundsman – Herts and Cambs Ground Maintenance Ltd We are looking for a groundsman to come and join our team. The role will involve all aspects of tree surgery, hedge and log cutting etc. We operate modern well maintained equipment. Training will be provided.
