Kick Start Work Experience Programme Summer 2018 The BLP Career Kick-Start Work Experience programme is designed to provide Year 12 students with a detailed insight into what it’s like to work in a City law firm and in inhouse legal roles. The programme comprises two weeks as follows: Week One (23 - 27 July 2018) - A week at BLP’s offices, gaining a real insight into what lawyers do on a daily basis via work shadowing as well as information on the different routes in to the profession and a number of skills sessions to help prepare you for the world of work. Week Two (30 July – 3 August 2018) – A week visiting a different organisation each day in a variety of sectors – including sports, financial services and media. During this week you will learn how law firms interact with their clients and the different roles for lawyers in these organisations. There will be plenty of opportunities to build your network speak to people from all of the different organisations involved. Deadline for applications is 31 January 2018. Discovery Programme and Access Accountancy Work Experience – Summer 2018 Cambridge, London and Milton Keynes Running in summer 2018 at a number of KPMG offices around the UK, the programme is designed for students in Year 12 or S5 who are interested in a career in business at a firm such as KPMG. Whichever office you choose to join, the KPMG Discovery Programme will allow you to develop the skills you need to build a successful career. During the programme you will undertake a series of interactive business challenges, skills workshops and research tasks designed to develop some of the key skills needed to thrive at KPMG.
